RB433AH is cheaper and seems to have more power CPU, RB600 is more expensive, seems to have less power CPU, but has 1GB ethernet. Can you help what is more powerful for that price, stability and of better quality? I use rb532.

All of the RB400 family have more power than the RB532 that you have been using so just about any board that you buy will be faster. And the RB400AH versions have faster packet processing than the RB600A.

The question you are asking really depends on what you need and how you use it.

I think the RB600A has a better miniPCI card layout if you are installing more than two radio cards. It also supports 48volt POE which I miss on all the other new RouterBoards. But the physical size is very large. And I don't believe it will have a long life.

I am seeing the RB433AH outsell the RB600A by a large margin. If products keep selling, Mikrotik keeps making them. And the RB400 family is large which makes it easier to support. The RB600A is now the only Mikrotik product still in production using the PPC.

I am guessing that we will see an RB400 model come out in the future with Gbit ethernet that will totally kill off the RB600A.

We are using lots of 600's with daughterboards (that's EIGHT (8)) wireless interfaces...!!!

Good GRIEF ..!!! - NO..!! they will not stop working - at all... but .. as with all networks there is this little matter of expansion and growth ya know... and at the moment it's just SO nice to know we can pull a 600 + 604 off the shelf. configure and go - knowing what sort of capabilities we can supply at the new BSS. This is a powerful combo and - yes the 433AH can pump more packects, and this is why they are probably have only 3+3 interfaces....

We can of course configure BSS with 2 x 433AH's I suppose - but - like I said the 600/604 combo is working so well at the moment... for us anyway...

8 wireless interfaces?!?!?!?! What radio cards, frequencies, and power supply are you using? Good god man! Care to post a winbox screenshot?

We use a combo of XR5's and RH52H's - simply because it's impossible to insert a XR and R52H in the same pairing... so we use the RB604 for 4 x XR's and 2 x XR's on the RB600 and the balance are R52H's....

Lately we use 2 x 12V Meanwell Power Suppliers in series off a Deep Cycle Battery and charger - and push 29V up to the RB600 system.

This one only has 7 wireless interfaces but mostly they have 8 in action.

We'd never face any kind of problems with RB600 .... on the other hand , RB433AH has some problems most important of them ( that we faced ) is sudden freezing and Temperature problems when the weather becomes higher than 45 C ...
yes , RB600 has a larger size and RB433AH has a faster processor , but we cant trust RB433AH as we trust the RB600..

These systems do a LOT of Mangle, Queues etc... it is not just the in/out on the ethernet, there are also some Backhauls there, NStreme is running on some interfaces etc....

Isn't this why the thread was started - packet through-put???? RB600 vs RB422AH...????
