Failover

there could be an issue with the DNS servers, so if a the rules are lookup gateway (ping) you will be able to ping the gateway but the dns servers are down that means traffic will still be routed through that route while in real sense there is no surfing going through that route. How could be this be resorted

I would use the internal DNS service in 'tik and use multiple DNS servers for it to resolve to. I.e. use AT&T, Verizon and Open DNS. If all three are down you have much larger problems to worry about.

what I want to correct is if u can ping the gaeway and somewhere along the line to the dst address the link is down ? thn traffic will still be passed thruogh the route I like the hotspot feature because on is not logged in untill the dst address is reachable

So set the ping check to ping a reliable public IP address...
