Cisco switch with routerboard

Thu Jan 15, 2009 10:52 am

I have 3 Vlans created in my 3560 Cisco switch, how I can make the RouterBoard communicate with the switch, if I create the same Vlans on the RouterBoard ether interface what should I do in the ether interface on the switch, make it trunk port ????
Any advice thanks

You have to change Cisco port mode to trunk (IEEE 802.1q) where your Routerboard is connected to - switchport mode trunk

If Vlans are already created inside switch this is enough to work.
