ros 3.23 problem, move from 2.9.5, same settings

Tue May 19, 2009 2:27 am

Hi I use ros 2.9.50 on my routers. I want to try ros 3. I upgraded my rb532 to ros 3.23. I restored my backup. Everything restored fine. But it doesnt worked fine, also I reset router and set everything manually, without sucess.
eth1, eth3 and wlan1 are bridged. Bridge has ip: 10.13.55.1/24. There is dhcp for this network. And dhcp lease 10.13.55.30 for wlan client(another rb532 in station mode on ros 2.9.51, dhcp-client). Eth2 connects to WAN. When I am inside winbox, I cant ping from it 10.13.55.30 and other network behind(10.13.56.0/24). Can you help.

I cant ping from that router(10.13.55.1) to 10.13.55.30(rb532,station, dhcp-client). No communication to 10.13.55.30 and to network behind(10.13.56.0/24).

wlan on ap-side is ap-bridge, on client side - station(routed). Also on the ap side everything is routed and bridge is not used(the traffic goes from eth2 to wlan1).
So because I dont use bridge I am propably not supposed to use ip firewall for bridge. Tonight I plan to try another routerboard and see what will happen. I have no idea what can be wrong.

here is scheme, if it is help:

router2 is router I want to change for ros v3(now run on 2.9.5) and router3 is rb532 running ros 2.9.51.

Edit:
I also changed devices(rb433ah + ros 3.20), same problem. It seems that there is problem with ap(ros3) and client - station(ros2.9.5).
Can anybody tell me what mode to put on client side? (with 2.9.5 on both side, it works with client-station) and I think it should work in ros3.

Edit:
I have got into winbox on that client(10.13.55.30, ros2.9.51, client-station), but I cant router 10.13.55.1, also I cant get to internet. But I can ping computer(r-c-desktop) connected over ethernet to router 10.13.55.1. Like you can see on the picture. Now I have totally no idea what can be wrong.

So because I dont use bridge I am propably not supposed to use ip firewall for bridge.
so why is your wan1 in bridge1? remove bridge1 if you do not need it!

I removed it(I used it to connect directly to rb, to test if dhcp works). The problem is same with or without bridge.

When I added ether1 in bridge, it started to work. But I dont use ether1 port, only wlan1 for wirelles and ether3 for internet connection.
Can somebody explain what does this mean?
