Not all uses the GPS, and it's best with a external GPS since you can get a better signal...can you givr me the exact model!

it needs to be NMEA based. I don't know if Garmin is some proprietary format. I wil ltry to find the model that I am using with good luck.

Garmin 18X USB is not NMEA

Also AmbiCom Model GPS-USB works...
Not the MOST sensitive, but it works... would be fine with little "overhead" structure.. IE not in a lover floor of a multi floor building...
Remember to use 4800 baud for the AmbiCom usb port...
