Bridge port / WDS Question

Sat Oct 31, 2009 11:49 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone here know how to / if its possible too, exclude a WDS client from being added to a bridge, when you have 'default bridge' set up under your wireless interface?

By default i want wds clients to be added to the bridge, but there are sometimes exceptions. Currently we add all WDS statically and add to bridges manually, but this is not the desired behavour.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Open wireless interface. Click on WDS tab. In WDS Mode choose dynamic. This is on the access point side. Now all WDS clients will automatic connect. Also in this tab assign which bridge you want WDS to be assigned to, if any.

Hi,

Thanks for your post :)

I already have wds clients going into a default bridge :) What i need is to exclude select WDS clients from this - so they dont get added to a bridge.

Thanks though,

How about using a Virtual AP for the select clients?

and asign to different bridge to do what ever you need to.
