Stores go missing, invalid, disappear

Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:45 am

I have had an issue with Stores now on two different units. At first I thought there was a problem with the microSD card but now this problem has resurfaced on a unit with an attached SATA drive. I have run into this problems from pre 3.30 to current 4.x ROS versions.

I can almost recreate the issue, here is what happens:

1) Store is detected and listed as an available store.
2) Configure store to be "active" store for Webproxy
3) Let Webproxy run.
4) Store will disappear from stores list
5) Reboot router.
6) Store still be invisible from Winbox.
7) Remove webproxy store (it will say store is "invalid")
Step 8 - Reboot router
9) Store will be visible
10) Now here is where it gets weirder - I can see the store but I can't format, clean, or check drive. It does nothing. If I try and set the webproxy store back on it, it will still say "invalid".

Anybody else have this happen??

How much time should pass from
3) and 4) points?

Do you have anything specific on your proxy configuration?

Web proxy could run for as little as 24 hours with 4MB sustained traffic to/from the router.

We are running hotspot with a NAT rule redirecting to Webproxy all port 80 traffic to 8088.

NOTE: I have found that dude stores and userman stores are getting bumped off the external SATA drive store to an internal flash store almost automatically in addition to the webproxy store.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I'm having the same exact issue in x86 v4.6.

Dude, User-Manager, and Web-Proxy do not show active status after some time. A reboot helps for a bit, then eventually no more active stores exist.

Were there any changes to the disk management around v4.6?
