Multicore

Hello

I ant to use pptp server with multicore cpu
this is not supported yet.

Would an option be to install 4 meterouters and have pptp server on that?

well, not Metarouters, but KVMs. and yes, it should work

With the KVM is there a performance big hit with network traffic?

I only need about 20mbit for each KVM

20 Mbps?.. how much KVMs? one router should be quite enough :)

p.s. as far as I know, nobody have tested such configs in terms of performance...

for me its not how much traffic but how many tunnels.

I Have over 1000 pptp and cpu is maxed on a p4

Tested on ESX4 with i85476 and msi-x and multiqueue per ethernet port, work very good.
3 virtual router (5.0 beta), traffic 200-300 Mb/s
