Mikrotik Equivelent Of Cisco "switchport trunk native vlan x

Sat Jun 26, 2010 6:19 pm

Is there a mikrotik command to use on an ethernet port that has the same effect as the cisco command below?
"switchport trunk native vlan x"

Basically to set which VLAN will have the untagged frames on that interface?

all untagged packets come to etherN. if you want to receive/send tagged packets, create VLAN interface on that ethernet

Just as Chupaka said.

All untagged frames come to the ether[x] interface. If you want to receive tagged frames, create a vlan interface for that vlan. Any frames coming to this vlan interface, will be replied to on this interface.

It works, just as any device would using the .1Q standard.
