MD5 in scripts

Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:24 am

Hi Guys
I'm looking to calculate the MD5 of some variables in a script.
I can't seem to find any md5 command for routeros!!!
I'm running Version 4.10 on a RB750G
if this feature isn't in the os ver is there any plans to include in soon?
Thanks for your help
Mark

thanks for the reply however all the link you provided me with told me was that someone had written their own script for it! Hats off thats some work and that it ain't built it.
However it doesn't help with getting the router to do md5 hashing or let us know if they plan on bringing this feature into R Os
I can't use the linux trick as i need the router to recalc the hash every few min
thanks for the help though.

You can contact dssmktik as he outlines in that thread, and purchase the md5 function he wrote from him.

If you want an official response from Mikrotik if they will honor your feature request you should email support@mikrotik.com - these forums are community based, and while Mikrotik staff may post here there's no guarantee that they will see your post or respond to it.
