6to4 tunnel on a dynamic endpoint

Sat Oct 16, 2010 11:20 pm

I want to setup a 6to4 tunnel using SixXS IPv6 tunnel broker service.
My IPv4 connection to my ISP is a forced dynamic IP configuration (forced 24h reset).

I came upon this wiki page for setting a tunnel: https://www.sixxs.net/wiki/RouterOS
Is it possible to setup this using a dynamic ip endpoint?

Here's a description how that can be done but i'm not sure MikroTik OS supports this:
http://www.sixxs.net/faq/connectivity/?faq=dynamicip

Any help is appreciated.

I may have found the solution:

Instead of SixXS I'll have to use Tunnelbroker.net

http://ipv4.tunnelbroker.net/ipv4_end.php

And a mikrotik script that updates IPv4 address of my endpoint:

Also, there is a pending feature request here:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/MikroTik_ ... mplemented
* Add support for dynamic AYIYA tunnels ( http://www.sixxs.net/tools/ayiya/) - AICCU (http://www.sixxs.net/tools/aiccu/). so one can use free ipv6 tunnels from sixxs.net project (http://www.sixxs.net/main/).
* Support for SIXXS-AICCU or heartbeat-tunnels would be great
Please add your name to the list to vote it up.

Ok, this feature request is for v4..... We're already at v5.11...... Any progress on implementing Ayiya in RouterOS ?? My previous router (openwrt on wrt54gs) was able to give me an ipv6 connection via Ayiya. Now I'm using RouterOS on RB450G and tried the HE ipv6 tunnel, my pc's at home got there ipv6 addresses but resolving is not working, I used the configuration generated by the HE website. With Ayiya in openwrt everything worked fine so if only RouterOS could have Ayiya included :D

Thnx

I took what I found on the net, and wrote a tutorial to what worked for me
