Wed Oct 20, 2010 1:52 pm

Hello People.

Im having some difficulties forwarding soem port for gaming.

The game server in on ip range 172.16.0.0/24 and my pc in on 172.16.8.0/24.

The ip of game server is 172.16.0.101 and my computer ip is 172.16.8.100

I am able to connect to gameserver when i use this natting..
/ip firewall nat> print
Flags: X - disabled, I - invalid, D - dynamic
0   chain=srcnat action=masquerade

1   chain=dstnat action=dst-nat to-addresses=172.16.8.100 to-ports=2300
     protocol=tcp dst-address=172.16.0.99 dst-port=0-2300

2   chain=dstnat action=dst-nat to-addresses=172.16.8.100 to-ports=2300
     protocol=udp dst-address=172.16.0.99 dst-port=2300
But i would like to know how can i allow the whole ip range (172.16.8.0/24).

Are these ip subnets on the same router? If so, the challenge is normally that masquerade. It will probably work if you add "out-interface=ether1". If ether1 is not your wan interface, change that to the appropriate interface.

ADD: You should be able to remove both dstnat rules also.
