Hello,

I am having this problem with a RB1100. It started about 1 month ago. I can watch the traffic pass across the router and in a fairly regular pattern the traffic just stops for a second or so and then resumes. If I run a continus ping through the router during these times the latency on the ping will increase several hundred, or the packet will be dropped with a "request timed out". I have also noticed that if I watch the CPU useage, during these times it will bump up to 99% or 100%, and then drop back down to 20% or 50%.

I can't figure out what is causing this. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Attached is a .jpeg image showing the traffic across the the ethernet ports. You can see the regular dips in traffic.

1) Do you have any scrips running at this time (check script/scheduler/netwatch menus)?

2) Do you have v5.x installed?
Use /tool profile to get information about processes occupying your system at peaks.

I am running version 4.16. Do you recommend upgrading to V 5?

Scripts/netwatch/scheduler are all empty. Any other ideas?

v5 provides support for /tool profile, which shows CPU load per process.

Hi, I have a similar problem with my rb1100, with / profile tool. DNS is a load of up to 70% at times. This causes a few days ago the rb1100 is blocking and the only way to recover was by netinstall. 5.rc5 use version.

do you using proxy ?
i've got similar problem on my rb133c, try delete proxy storage or if you cant create new active storage for proxy and delete old, it worked for me

Yip it was the proxy
I use a 8GB card
Recreated the store and problem returns

Turned off the proxy again all normal ????
