[BUG REPORT] route

Tue Feb 08, 2011 3:13 pm

Hello!

We have encountered a routing bug which is present in both 4.16 and 5.0 rc8.
The hardware is RB 1000, and rb1100 (the bug is possibly platform independent)
We could reproduce the bug in IPv6, althrew it may be present in IPv4, we didn't want to loose connection to the router, so we didn't test it.

The bug is:
If we reach the 4096 item count in the route table, the (old?) routes are dropped INCLUDING THE LINK ROUTE

The source of the routes was BGP in our case.

You can preforn the same tests as we with tunnelbroker.net

Thanks for the assistance:
Denke.

What does it mean "old routes are dropped?"
I have x86, RB1000 and RB1100 full feed ipv4 routes and full feed ipv6 routes. All routes are in routing table.

how many routes do you have in your route table?

The simptom is, that the router disappears from the local (lan) network, and it can no olnger be reached, or pinged. If you add a static route manually with the same settings as the originaly dynamic link route, the router becomes available, pingable for a while, and then it disappeares again.
