Web Proxy Redirect dst-path dst-host Question

Thu Mar 31, 2011 10:28 am

Hi there,

I am using the ROS web proxy as a transparent proxy and also limiting access to certain sites. Is there a way for me to redirect to a url with a variable name such as $dst-path$ or %dst-path% or some similar variable?

An explanation of my situation is below:
As this application is in a work environment there are certain sites which should not be allowed at all, and if accessed should be handled with extra care.

For example if somebody tries to access a site that contains porn, or the destination path contains porn then I redirect it to a internal webserver which logs the IP making the request and "porn".

However in some circumstances this might not be sufficient as some words might legitimately contain "porn" somewhere in the sentence or coincidently a gmail post string might contain the letters. For this purpose I would like to redirect the entire dst-path that the user requested to the internal server.

For example:

It would be impossible for me to setup a unique trigger for each possible access path, so I am hoping that there is a way for me to simply use the dst-path and dst-host as a variable.

Thanks in advance!

*bump*

Could somebody please answer if this is possible or not? Is there any other link that I can have a look at?

You can't do that with RouterOS.
