DVB Support

Fri Oct 28, 2005 1:47 am

Sir
It is really a bad thing that a great software like mikortik does not support dvb cards

if mikrotik can support dvb cards like pentanet we will eliminate the usage of 1 pc in our stations

So the router will have new more features and many people will buy the sotware to use it as a satellite internet router

sattelite cards have very complicated configuration and mostly don't have freely available drivers. it would be highly complicated to add support. also there is little demand for this, so we do not have it in our plans

this takes a lot of time and effort, we currently do not have the resources. redhat has nothing to do with routeros, adding drivers is not simple

Use Pent@Office/Sater1000 or other DVB router

It would be great... Drivers sources are freely availible and Pent@net is one of the most popular and stable cards.
