i use ftp or scp to move npk files to the router.

i have bash script that fetches files, then connects to router, gets arch, and then uploads files required by the arch. So IMHO, it is even easier to use :) than drag and drop available on the M$windows.

I am using Fedora 15 with wine 1.3.24 and drag&drop works here.
I remember that early on Fedora 14 was not working.

on debian up@date with wine from repo it works well
try open file window in winbox and drag files there, not into void space

I don't know about winbox, but the webfig UI can upload the files, or you can scp or sftp them to the router from a Linux box. I've used both sftp and uploading via webfig to upgrade.
