Summarize /32 routes not working in OSPF?

Tue Sep 13, 2011 11:33 am

Hi,

Maybe I'm making mistake, but my /32 addresses, which I use for loopback interfaces, aren't summarized. Other routes are summarized as they should be, but this ones are shown in route table accross network as they are. I'm tried with version 5.4 and 5.6 and problem is the same. I tried to change mask in area range from /24 to /16 but no help. Anyone have same issue?

It depends whether route is advertised as external, whether it is in the same area or in different area etc.

I put two ranges on ABR for that area. One for links between devices and second range for loopback interfaces. First are /30 addresses (summarized as /19), second one are /32 (summarized as /24). First one are summurized well, second aren't.

Uf, my mistake. I didn't add those addresses in networks, they were redistributed as connected. Sorry and thx for help.
