RB751U and Huawei E169

Sat Nov 19, 2011 1:37 pm

Hi,

I have managed to get my Huawei E169 working with a RB433UAH about two years ago without any problems. I now have a RB751U which I would like to use as a roaming wifi hotspot. I have tried everything that people have suggested on other forum post without success. I am currently using RouterOS 5.7.

I dont know if any would be able to assist. The router does see the Huawei E169:

I have tried on different channels.

I am not sure where I am going wrong. I have tried to attached a supout.rif as well but it fails.

Whenever I have had those problems an upgrade of routeros has solved it.

What version are you using?

I am currently using RouterOS 5.7.
I will download the latest version 5.8 and check if there is any change in the problem. Thanks

Hmmm... 5.7 never gave me any problems. Maybe try a /system reset-configuration and try again.

Hi Alex,

Something is not quite right. After upgrading to Router OS 5.8 I get the following. This Modem works fine on my computer, so I dont suspect a fault with it.

As you said the modem worked before in a Mikrotik (was it the same one?) Then all I can suggest is a factory default reset.

Failing that a netinstall of the router, maybe the driver is corrupt and not updating properly.

Is the modem connected to the USB directly or via a USB cable.
