vmware -> proxmox

Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:47 am

Hello,

I ve a mikrotik running as vmware guest OS, and works perfect on xeon.
But i am having trouble moving it to proxmox(KVM).
I've moved the vmdk disk file to new host, it boots fine, but seems like that process is changing its software-id
so my license becomes invalid.

Ive migrated all my guests, but this one. thus, i cant wipe the server. and running just one guest, with 128mb ram, on a dualxeon with 28GB ram really annoys me.

any help 'ld be appraciated

I moved some guests from vmware to virtualbox and the same thing happened. I think you will need to invest in a new license.
