Hey guys, I have lost nearly $2000 worth of equipment since Friday’s storms and I am really having a really bad time and am in desperate need of your advice.

I keep losing boards and devices from these storms. Do you think that putting the motorolla surge protectors the 600SSD’s in place will prevent this? Also what surge protectors should I use for my switches that keep getting fried. We just built this whole infrastructure to deliver the new bandwidth and I am now more vulnerable than ever to damage because of how many new devices I have out there.

What do I do to completely prevent me from losing all of these boards/devices/poe’s?

Sounds like you have some serious grounding issues. How is everything grounded?

I appreciate the response but I think I am finding the answers I am looking for from another forum right now. you are correct about the grounding issues..

Shielded Cat5 cable is also recommended.
