DHCP and Address Pool Problem

Thu Jun 21, 2012 12:55 pm

Aslam-o-Alikum

sir, i have configured my mikrotik os as hotspot. and i have more then 300 clients.
i have Set address pool non in hotspot due to FTP trafic problem
hotspot-->server-->address pool= None

today i check my address pool used address it wos almost 240 used
pool-->used address
there i found one ip for DHCP and one ip for Hotspot is assigned for a single mac address

and due to this my almost all dhcp address are finished.

and in future i expect after dhcp address finished new clients will start face problem. so what should i do to start next pool or next series of ip address? and how can i configure it?

First don't double post please, it is hard to keep track of who answered what.

To answer your second part/issue, set the hotspot user profile's Address Pool to none. There is no need to use it in a basic hotspot setup and it will only exhaust your IP pool faster than needed. If someone comes in with misconfiguration IP settings the hotspot will automatically NAT them to an IP that it can use for them.
