Simple question about VLAN

Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:41 am

I want to set up this scenario: Groove WiFi to serve hotspot client (vlan2) linked to RB1100AH (hotspot gateway). Hotspot client doesn't have to reach vlan1 because I want to use it as management

Is it possible? I've set up it but I can't ping vlan1 on Groove from vlan1 on RB1100AH

create the vlan 1 and link this to ethernet interface, put your vlan id, now create the vlan2 and link this to eth too, put the vlan id.
and now use on the nat of hotspot the intrface vlan2 (not the ethernet) at the vlan1 put the magnament ip an the gateway the vlan2 must be have an ip too.
the vlans work wrong on version 5.7 to 5.9 use a the last version.

Thanks for your answer... I've seen that the last version of RouterOS for this appliance is: Version 5.18. But I've just unboxed the RB1100AH and I've got this message:

yes, v5.8 is an old version. v5.18 is the latest one.
