Can't get tx-rate and rx-rate info over SNMP from WLAN

Thu Aug 30, 2012 9:19 pm

I cannot get any values from the tx-rate and rx-rate OIDs over SNMP of the wireless interface.
It always returns 0.

/interface wireless print oid
0 tx-rate=. rx-rate=.
ssid=. bssid=.
client-count=. frequency=.
band=. noise-floor=.

# snmpget -v 1 -c my_community .
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14988. = Gauge32: 0

But the values are shown just fine when monitoring the interface:
/interface monitor-traffic 06-WLAN
name: 06-WLAN
rx-packets-per-second: 54
rx-drops-per-second: 0
rx-errors-per-second: 0
rx-bits-per-second: 31.7kbps
tx-packets-per-second: 105
tx-drops-per-second: 0
tx-errors-per-second: 0
tx-bits-per-second: 1190.7...

I can also get values for other OIDs just fine, e.g.
# snmpget -v 1 -c my_community .
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14988. = Counter32: 23

I have tested this on 5 different 751G-2HnD routerboards:
> /system routerboard p
routerboard: yes
model: 751G-2HnD
serial-number: 2F7A029EB609
current-firmware: 2.38
upgrade-firmware: 2.41
