Suggestion - email can do dns lookup

Sun Sep 16, 2012 1:07 pm

It would be nice if the email tool could look up a server name rather then only being able to do a IP address.

It's about improvement suggestions. Not about what you can and can not do with scripts.

Agreed,

DNS resolution for things like VPN, NTP, SMTP etc. has got to be one of the best features in terms of effort required vs. benefit to users.

I can understand why firewall rules can't use FQDNs (too much processing/too slow to resolve) but for all the other stuff - It's really, really annoying!

If it can be done using a two-line mikrotik script, why not build that functionality into routerOS?
