100% CPU Usage on RB1100AH (PPP)

Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:19 pm

Hi all

We have just noticed our RB1100AH is using 100% of its CPU. When profile is selected it is recording 75-80% CPU usage on PPP?

The box only terminates 6 tunnels (2x SSTP and 4x PPTP). They have hardly any traffic going in the tunnel as its for radius to communicate with access controllers accross the internet. I have updated from 5.19 to 5.20 and still no joy.

Is there anything else i could check to see what the cause is? I disabled SSTP for a few mins and its still high.

Thanks in advance

Jon

Amazing :-) I just did the screenshot and wanted to report the same issue :-) My router is 1100AHx2.
Only 3 PPTP sessions plus one SSTP, no traffic (just a single packets per sec). After disabling BOTH PPTP and SSTP CPU went to normal. Now it's normal, we'll see what happens next.

This is SSTP related problem and will be fixed in next ROS version.

Cool. Thanks for the update. Is there an ETA on the next release?

Thanks. Jon
