Hi guys i've this issue with cacti.
The configuration that I use on my server is the follow:

/snmp community
set [ find default=yes ] authentication-password=pass encryption-password=\
pass
add addresses="IPcacti" authentication-password=pass \
name=pvt-snmp security=authorized
/snmp
set contact=info@me.com enabled=yes location=USA \
trap-community=pvt-snmp trap-target="IPcacti" trap-version=3

So, the configuration host on cacti is the follow like in picture:
Where:
SNMP username:pvt-snmp
SNMP password:pass
SNMP passphrase:pass
When I finish to add this configuration appear the error: snmp error
Where I wrong?
If setting up the host with version 1 I have not problem....

I would change these two settings and try again.

SNMP Version: Version 1

Why I have to use version 1 when on my server I've setted version 3?
Regarding at "Downed Device Detection" I've tryed different options availables on the menu, but without result....
There are other thing I can do?

Is SNMPV3 configured on your cacti/monitor server ? Can you run snmpwalk from another machine successfully ?

There are others fields to configure? where is "cacti/monitor server"?

I use the dude on my network on a most server, and they works perfectly with snmpV3....

Another thing, I have this error message on my syslog:
(php /usr/share/cacti/site/poller.php >/dev/null 2>/var/log/cacti/poller-error.log)

Is this a problem?
