use set-ca-passphrase for scep server to cache CA key in encrypted form;
*) ppp - made MPPE encryption work on tilera (bug introduced in 6.0rc10);
*) tool fetch - https support with optional certificate verification;
*) sstp server - removed test mode which allowed running server without certificate;
*) trafficgen - add support for ipv6 header;

Morning,

After upgrade one x86 system with v6rc12 it creates a file named um-before-migration.tar with 2 files inside: logsql.umb and mainsql.umb. Just delete it?

If you don't need these backup files, just delete. They are User Manager database backups

can you send your supout.rif file to support@mikrotik.com ? make sure you are running the rc12 release from our webpage, not from the test link.

Normis/MRZ/Mikrotik crew. I don't know how often this is said but I'm thankful to see that yalls are working your butts off to make this a better product. While I think that there's a lot of frustration that can be seen and is expressed, I still think it's a great product and I plan on buying more of it in the future (money permitting as always). So as always, thank you :)

I seem to be having issues with bridge interfaces and dynamic link local IPv6 addresses. They are generated but the interface shows as '(unknown)' in /ipv6 address print. This has the knock on effect of disabling IPv6 RA messages and so my client devices are not getting IPv6 addresses automatically.

I thought at fist is was because I'd set admin-mac on the bridge to be a physical interface MAC address but I changed it to a Locally Assigned Address and that also caused issues (02:00:00:00:00:01). I've now changed it to something more random and it's working at present but I'm not sure if it's fixed or I've just been lucky whilst rebooting.

In v6rc12 it is not possible to assign LCD to LEDs:
It was a bug and was fixed. Obviously, the LCD is not a LED.
This "bug" was useful :). Can you put back this bug? :)
This is the only way to turn on the LCD backlight, by software, to it's previous state (showing Stats).

Excuse me if I am bothering you (I know it is not important feature of RouterOS) but it was useful when it turned on to Stats automaticaly, without touching it. Maybe you can add other command to switch view to Stats? Now it is possible to choose which interface is shown but user still have to touch it to show Stats (after /lcd set enabled=yes).

It is not a bug, it was meant to do that. it basically switches to user friendly quickset mode, and hides the complicated settings menu
Then why button [Quick Set] does not hide the menu? :)
There is separate button [Quick Set] that switches to quickset mode. By clicking [Hide Menu] user expects that it will just hide the menu and not switch to quickset mode.

For me it fixed issue that only happens when you disable or delete some simple queues - some (not all) other simple queues also stops working.
So i imagine that if you have dynamic simple queues you must have this problem.
If your simple queues are static and you do not plan to change them - you are fine.

So simple queues are/are not working in rc13? I have 34 day uptime on rc11, not going to change for awhile. Everythings humming along.

RB2011UAS-2HnD, RoS 6.0rc12

Wlan, TX power, card rates doesn't change current tx power.
Generation of hotspot pages does not work (only folders are created), also deleting everything from files and doing "Reset HTML" generates "copy failed(6)" error.

Thanks

Drag file from desktop to winbox, after that open same file on PC and edit it, unable to save file because it has been locked by winbox. If this was intentional please remove this feature, editing hotspot html is a pain if you need to close winbox after every edit.

This kind of problem I've met on CCR with ROSv6rc12:

1. After making l2tp tunnel, and setting it up, I've found an impossibility to remove that tunnel.
2. Also CCR loses it's PPP profiles and it makes impossible to deactivate tunnel directly (by setting it's status to disable).
Then I go by 3 ways:
3. When I tryed to resetup tunnel profile, I've got a hanging webfig/cli to timeout:
[admin@MikroTik] > ppp profile add name="beeline-l2tp" change-tcp-mss=yes
action timed out - try again, if error continues contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (13)
4. When I tryed to disable l2tp-client, I've got a next situation:
4.a It hangs at: [admin@MikroTik] > interface l2tp-client print
4.b After pressing Ctrl+C it prints:
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
0 R name="l2tp-beeline" max-mtu=1460 max-mru=1500 mrru=disabled
connect-to=195.14.38.42 user="user" password="password"
profile=(unknown) add-default-route=yes dial-on-demand=no allow=chap
4.c After direct trying to disable l2tp client directly:
[admin@MikroTik] > interface l2tp-client disable 0
action timed out - try again, if error continues contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (13)

Trying to reboot CCR causes:
[admin@MikroTik] > sys reboot
Reboot, yes? [y/N]:
y
system will reboot shortly

After 2 minutes: LCD prints "rebooting..."
After more 3 minutes, still "rebooting...".
10 minutes past: still "rebooting..."

I thing something wrong with l2tp module on CCR. Could you debug it? Or write me any workaround for a time to fix it?

On ROSv6rc11 I've met next bug:
after deleting NAT rule router fall in "kernel panic!" and reboots.

I have some bugs to report too...

6.0rc12(and maybe earlier versions too)
Users behind hotspot, but in IP bindings, type bypassed

access to some ip addressed are just forbidden, example:

C:\Users\User>ping www.facebook.com

Pinging star.c10r.facebook.com [31.13.81.23] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.168.157.18: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 10.168.157.18: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 10.168.157.18: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 10.168.157.18: Destination host unreachable.

Ping statistics for 31.13.81.23:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

but on mikrotik, it works ok:

[admin@mt-xxx] > ping 31.13.81.23
HOST SIZE TTL TIME STATUS
31.13.81.23 56 243 33ms
31.13.81.23 56 243 32ms
31.13.81.23 56 243 32ms
sent=3 received=3 packet-loss=0% min-rtt=32ms avg-rtt=32ms max-rtt=33ms

but if I reboot this mikrotik where hotspot is, everything will fork ok for 1-2 days...
maybe I have to do some tweaking to connection tracking?
also, I have in my firewall filters before hotspot:

1 chain=forward action=accept connection-state=related

2 chain=forward action=accept connection-state=established

4 ;;; invalid
chain=forward action=drop connection-state=invalid

After upgrading to RC12 on my CCR I have had issues where one of the ethernet ports (ether11) just keeps turning off and then a few mins later turning back on, that specific port is configured as our up link port and is dialing BGP, etc over it - I have now rolled back to RC11 to see if it improves, I didn't see the issue on other other ports so perhaps it is related to the fact that it is locked at 100mbit full duplex instead of being auto or 1000mbit? The device plugged into that port is a Allied Telesys media Converter from our fibre supplier and must be locked to 100mbit to work properly.

Model: CCR1036-12G-4S

Edit: I am now also seeing this on ether6 even after the downgrade to RC11, ether6 has a cache server plugged into it, it is set to auto and negotiates a 1000mbit rate, this must be related to a throughput issue as these are my 2 primary ports, we often hit 100mbit download from our fibre on ether port 11 and a lot of this is routed to ether port 6 for caching.

Still have problems with upload speed (real speed is about 100Mbit - through RB1100AHx2) - CCR 1036-12-4 WAN-Ethernet, LAN-SFP(Cisco WDM 1Gbit) maximum 30Mbit.
Download speed and routing works good.
And what is about 100Mbit Sfp modules to work with RB2011 and CCR?
P.S 03.04.2013 at 13:40 UTC+4 - have been tested CCR1036-12-4 with WAN ETHERNET and LAN ETNERNET (already not SFP) -results good. CCR hreally has a problem with fiber transport. Please correct if possible.
Also please add hardware or software support tothis SFP:
GIGALINK
GL-10T/R (1Gbps) GL-09T/R (100Mbps) - both are SINGLEMODE WDM 1310/1550
P.S On RC5 that's modules worked fine.

Can't add new 'ip firewall filters rule' with webfig in 6.0rc12 or 6.0rc13.

After OK or Apply pressing - switch to login page with ERROR: Internal Server Error

After updating CCR1036 to rc12:
I have got an issue, the following script became not working
:foreach i in=[/interface pppoe-server find] do={:if ([:len [/ip firewall address-list find address=[/ip address get value=network number=[/ip address find interface=[/interface pppoe-server  get $i name] ]] ]] = 0) do={ [/interface pppoe-server remove $i] };}
but script was working since Ros 5.24 to 6.0x, also each part of script work perfectly (like :put [/interface pppoe-server get 1 name];
:put [/ip address find interface=<test>] and etc..)

Any suggestions?

Does tx dropped frames on vlan has been fixed on rc13?

I have BGP x86 on 6.0rc12 (build 13.03.2013), after 14 days uptime i can see 18 000 tx dropped packets. Everything was fine on 5.24.

My RB951G reboots ever 20-30 s after upgrade from 6.0rc11 to 6.0rc12. No winbox connect
my rb 411u( and rb230 and sxt did the exact same thing... if you are fast enough and login very quickly, goto / system watchdog and disable the watchdog... you'll see a log entry that has some thing to the effect of" rebooted by watchdog event" ps i dd my upgrade via the dude beta3.. ps running dude in wine is a very dirty solution.this might motivate me to wite a few php scriptsto handle the upgrading that dude handles for me

For any RB951G which are rebooting, please try this new firmware:
http://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/ ... _05_7a.fwf

(upload the file, then run "/system routerboard upgrade" command)

Hello Normis
May be for some other devices RB711UA, Groove2,Metal2,SXT2, RB2011, RB751G, RB751U you have most recent firmware than 3.02 we have now???
May be it helps RC12 work more stability on this devices?

Hello all,

We experienced problems while disabling PPPoE Servers on RB1100AHx2 running v6.0-rc12. I am attaching a autosupout.rif from the episode.

After that we downgraded it to v6.0-rc11 but now we have a bunch os stalled admin connections and the CPU load, because of console usage, is going too high.

How can I kick a stalled winbox connection? Reboot?

Step 1
[admin@RB951G-2HnD] > system routerboard print
       routerboard: yes
             model: 951G-2HnD
  current-firmware: 3.04
  upgrade-firmware: 3.05
Step 2
[admin@RB951G-2HnD] > system routerboard upgrade
Do you really want to upgrade firmware? [y/n]
y
firmware upgraded successfully, please reboot for changes to take effect!
Step 3
[admin@RB951G-2HnD] > system reboot
Reboot, yes? [y/N]:
y
system will reboot shortly
Step 4
[admin@RB951G-2HnD] > system routerboard print
       routerboard: yes
             model: 951G-2HnD
  current-firmware: 3.05
  upgrade-firmware: 3.05
But this doesn't work via Winbox. After reboot still 3.04

I'm testing the rc13 in x86 and the connection-bytes still doesn't work. Is this normal?

it appears to work only upside down.

I'm using connection-bytes to mark heavy download traffic (tcp 80).

5 ;;; http_more100Mb
chain=prerouting action=mark-connection
new-connection-mark=http_more100M_conn passthrough=yes protocol=tcp
dst-port=80 connection-bytes=102400000-0

6 chain=prerouting action=mark-packet new-packet-mark=http_more100Mb
passthrough=no connection-mark=http_more100M_conn

7 ;;; http_100Mb
chain=prerouting action=mark-connection
new-connection-mark=http_100Mb_conn passthrough=yes protocol=tcp
dst-port=80 connection-bytes=10240000-102400000

8 chain=prerouting action=mark-packet new-packet-mark=http_100Mb
passthrough=no connection-mark=http_100Mb_conn

9 ;;; http_to10M
chain=prerouting action=mark-connection new-connection-mark=http_10Mb_conn
passthrough=yes protocol=tcp dst-port=80 connection-bytes=1024000-10240000

10 chain=prerouting action=mark-packet new-packet-mark=http_10Mb passthrough=n>
connection-mark=http_10Mb_conn

11 ;;; http_1Mb
chain=prerouting action=mark-connection new-connection-mark=http_1Mb_conn
passthrough=yes protocol=tcp dst-port=80 connection-bytes=0-1024000

12 chain=prerouting action=mark-packet new-packet-mark=http_1Mb passthrough=no
connection-mark=http_1Mb_conn

If I orden them first the 1mb, then the 10mb, then the 100mb and then the more than 100mb. All the packets get caught in the first mangle. I don't know if this is normal but before, the packets which weight more than 1Mb passtrough to the mangle below. Now instead, all fall in the first http mangle and don't get pass.

Got my 951G-2HnD yesterday, upgraded to 6r12 today.

When doing a frequency scan, the device resets itself. Log entry:
system,error,critical router was rebooted without proper shutdown by watchdog timer

Upgrade firmware from menu System -> Routerboard -> Upgrade :)
Restore to factory defaults, then set up router again...

Good day!
I wrote above about router rebooting on rc12. So.
I have installed Dude4.0beta3 package on the device (rc11). Updating to rc12 brought to reboots. Router worked on rc11 before today.
Today I tried to upgrade to ROS6.0 release and the router began reboots again :D Next, router has netinstalled again for ROS6.0 - and all stayed ok! After this Dude4.0beta3 has installed and all work!
These all say that the dude package brought to reboots after upgrading a release, or the updating process goes wrongly=).
