PPPoE-Bridge & oVPN again

Tue Apr 23, 2013 2:55 pm

Hi everyone !

I´ve read all the postings regarding openVPN & PPPoE-Client so far, but let me again ask some questions....

I´m running v6.0rc13/14 on x86 with DSL-Modem connected via PPPoE-Bridge & Client.
Therefore I´m running in PPPoE-crashes as described in other postings before.

So is there a way to run openVPN with this config right now ?

Here are some specific informations about my config:
[admin@MikroTik] /interface> print
Flags: D - dynamic, X - disabled, R - running, S - slave
 #     NAME                                TYPE         MTU L2MTU  MAX-L2MTU

       BLUE                                ether       1500  7152
 1  R  ;;; GREEN: Primary TCP/IP-Interface
       GREEN                               ether       1500  7152
 2  R  ;;; ORANGE: Tertiary TCP/IP-Interface (DMZ/Reserved)
       ORANGE                              ether       1500  1600
 3  RS ;;; RED: TCP/IP-Interface <=> DSL-Modem & PPPoE-Interface (INTERNET)
       RED                                 ether       1500  7152
 4  R  ;;; PPP-Client UMTS <=> INTERNET
       PPP-UMTS                            ppp-out     1500
 5  R  ;;; PPPoE-BRIDGE : => INTERNET
       PPPoE Bridge                        bridge      1500  7152
 6  R  ;;; PPPoE-Client T-Online: RED <=> Bridge PPPoE DSL <=> INTERNET
       T-Online PPPoE via PPPoE-Bridge ... pppoe-out   1492
Bridge-config:
[admin@MikroTik] /interface bridge> print
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
 0  R ;;; PPPoE-BRIDGE : => INTERNET
      name="PPPoE Bridge" mtu=1500 l2mtu=7152 arp=enabled
      mac-address=00:30:18:A3:E2:39 protocol-mode=none priority=0x8000
      auto-mac=yes admin-mac=00:00:00:00:00:00 max-message-age=20s
      forward-delay=15s transmit-hold-count=6 ageing-time=5m
PPPoE-Client:
[admin@MikroTik] /interface pppoe-client> print
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
 0  R ;;; PPPoE-Client T-Online: RED <=> Bridge PPPoE DSL <=> INTERNET
      name="T-Online PPPoE via PPPoE-Bridge IPv4" max-mtu=1492 max-mru=1492
      mrru=disabled interface=PPPoE Bridge
      user="00*******************#0001@t-online.de" password="******"
      profile=pppoe_ipv4 keepalive-timeout=60 service-name=""
      ac-name="*******" add-default-route=no dial-on-demand=no
      use-peer-dns=yes allow=pap,chap
Modem has also private IP sharing with RED-Interface (INTERNET-Gateway) for checking out physical DSL-stats....
Modem 192.168.xxx.1 and RED 192.168.xxx.10...

Everytime I try to connect from WinXP-openVPN-Client (latest version), the PPPoE-Connection crashes ?
Do I have to put the PPPoE-Client on the DSL-Modem (is capable, but the wrong way, as I need the public ip on the mikrotik...) ?

Anyone got in success from implementing openVPN beside PPPoE-Client ?

Thanks in advance !
