Sun May 19, 2013 7:17 pm

Maybe this is the wrong place for this.. I got the Huawei E352 USB 3G dongle working. According to the Wiki page it is not supported. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported ... e#3G_cards
I only had to remove the PIN and change the Data-channel to '2'. Info-channel is '0'.

I confirm. I tried to run Huawei E352b (by russian 3G provider Megafon) on the x86 system (s775 Core E8200 & Intel P43) under ROS 6.7 and it work properly with the settings info & data channels = 0. On my RB493G, unfortunately, I was unable to test the modem due to the lack of regular power on the USB port and USB POE injector and stable 5V power supply was not at hand.

[admin@MikroTik_x86] > interface ppp-client print
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
0 name="ppp-megafon" max-mtu=1500 max-mru=1500 mrru=disabled port=usb4 data-channel=0 info-channel=0

current-operator: MegaFon (cellid 7e57)
access-technology: 3G

While you're at it Normis, you could remove the fibs that other fellow added about the 320U working with the LTE interface providing the modem has the drivers on it ;)

Here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported ... _LTE_cards

Some fellow has said that the Sierra Wireless 320U works with the LTE interface
Vendor/product id pair should be 0x0f3d/0x68AA and DirectIP firmware loaded on the modem.
This is totally incorrect. Yes, it is detected as an LTE device but it does not work - only with the PPP interface.

what exactly doesn;t work with that sierra 320u using lte interface?
Maybe you need to use newer firmware.
Also there is always an option to load the ppp mode by setting the ignore-direct-ip-firmware setting under port firmware menu.

In the log, using the LTE interface, the modem gets stuck trying to send AT+CPIN?. Discussed here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... hilit=320u

Newest firmware for both the modem and the router don't make a difference. PPP mode is fine but you can't access the full modem speed.
