RouterOS 5.25 getting critical error creating backup file

Wed May 22, 2013 4:05 am

Anyone notice this? Not sure if this is new with 5.25 on my RB2011 but instead of seeing the typical 250K file size I only see about 50K or so and I get a critical error in the log that it cant read all the configuration files. I dont want to do a factory reset. I guess I could export everything and then script it back in again. But would be better to find out whats happening with backup routine not being able to read all config files.

Hi,

I'm also facing this problem when creating backups on severall devices of RB951G-2HnD. On most of them some parts from the configuration itself got also lost (lost user passwords, lost wifi security seetings, and less critical things...) which is very bad!

Any idea?

Hi-I have a similar issue... I just updated an RB493G from 5.26 (backups worked perfectly) to 6.10 and now have this issue. Nothing was lost during the upgrade and the router is running flawlessly, but now I get an error in the log (critical error: cannot read all configuration files) and the backup file is only ~50k instead of the ~350k file that I'm used to seeing. I upgraded a RB750GL from 5.26 to 6.10 and didn't have any issues and the backups work fine. Firmware is the most up to date on both. Thanks!
