Still no news on 2.4Ghz units. pffff..... Is MT considering 2,4Ghz outdoor is a lost market?

A RBSXTG-5HPnD-SAr2 90 degrees sector. Hmm, nice. But why not a shielded ('metal') version. Building an AP with four of these tiny sectors on a mast/pole means 4 times possible interference because its all bloody plastic and therefor relative low B/F ratio.
When does MT ever going to realize they need to build 'better' antenna's. Not just stronger radios or wider sector.
Building networks is all about 'noise' and signals (or S/N!) guys....

SXT Sixpacks now ships with RBSXTG-5HPnD-SAr2. Well, another example the sales dept. didn't talk with the radio experts....
Why put a 30dBm sector to connect with 31dBm CPE (more directional..). Signal strenght works both ways...
With this setup you probably get a 2-4dB lower signal at the clients end as the client gives to the AP.
It should be better the other way around (Since we mostly do downloading. This is the preffered high througput direction.)
It was better to make 90 degrees SEXTANTS with 30+dBm radio and the higher gain. This would bring the up and downlink signals more in balance....

Well said.

I agree with you about the 5GHz equipment, but until MT gets the Omnitik FCC certified for the UNII 2 and UNII 2 extended, there is no reason to run equipment with such small antennas. If I'm only allowed 5.8GHz, I might as well use the power and build my own.

Do you plan to release SOHO like router (RB951G) with dual-band wireless?

Yes, but it takes an unusually long time. Especially when I had to replace my home RB951G with TL-WDR4300 and switch to OpenWrt (i don't want to have two devices working).

Will there be any middle-to-high-range router with at least 5 gigabit ports and usb port support (for 3g usb dongles, for using them in failover scenario)? RB1100 with USB port anyone?
PS: note that I want good throughput for a gigabit network.

Hardly ever I receive this newsletter in my e-mail. Could Mikrotik provide a RSS feed of this newsletter so everyone that wants to keep track on these announcements would receive it in your favorite device?

Maybe needed fullduplex CPE "SXT-nstream-dual"(nv2-dual) with dual-band wireless?
CPE looks like Ubiquiti AirFiber and contains RBSXT2nDr2+antenna5GHz+wirless adapter (middle cost 50$+10$antenna+10$adapter)
needs development NV2 duplex PtMP protocol
Dual-band === no interference between sectors
