Disappearing firewall filter rules - problem

Tue Aug 13, 2013 10:11 am

We have problem with rules in ip firewall - randomly the filter rules in input chain get all deleted, without any intervention.
Moreover , DHCP server gets disabled.

Any idea what could be the reason please? Log attached ... Thanks

Well there is an admin login via web, just before your settings magically get changed...
You did notice this, didn't you?

Thanks, looks to be related, as I could reproduce it - the DHCP change and/or delection of the rules occurs within a second after a simple WEB admin login.

But the question is ... why ?

It looks like it is running a "on-login" script, but that is just for hotspot users AFAIK. Anything in "/system script"?

Hi,

I have a rb2011uas-2hnd-in and I'm facing exactly same problem.

My INPUT rules disappears and my DHCP server(only of bridge-local, as I have 2 dhcp configs for 2 different networks) gets disabled.

This is very strange.

same problem with rb2011uas-2hnd-in , since upgraded from 5.26 to 6.2 . All the fw rules in the input chain are removed randomly. Problem still exists in 6.5 !

This is what I got from Mikrotik Support (end August):

Hello,

You are right and there is problem with Webfig, because QuickSet menu
automatically changes configuration so it would resemble to automaticaly
configured board by QuickSet.

Unfortunately, this issue have not been avoided yet and only thing you can do for
now is either go back to version 6.1, in which I was not able to repeat your
problem, or wait for new version of RouterOS.

I have given notice to our programmers and they are already trying to fix this
issue.

Thank you for helping us avoid these issues.

I have 6.5 and seems to me that the firewall rules no longer disappear , unless I go to Quick Set menu (in Winbox OR web interface)

I got this after updating my RB493G from Ros 6.4 to 6.6rc1... after rebooting, all firewall rules got removed except nat and mangle.
