I have searched and searched but can't find any relevant article. I believe one should be educated about what Mikrotik Online Certification Tests are. Below are the questions that I and most people are asking;

1. Where and how can one schedule mikrotik certification exams
2. How much does each exam cost
3. What is the nature of the exams (number of questions, passing score and sample questions)
4. Available exam materials and each certification module
5. Can one schedule the exam and write online by himself?

MikroTik certification is not like Cisco. There is no direct exam. You have to attend certification training & after training you have to sit for online exam. http://www.mikrotik.com/training/ this link will help you to find training schedule.

Training cost is depends on trainer
Exam is multiple choice & 25 questions passing score is 60%
Trainer will provide you materials
Without MikroTik certified trainer you can't attend online exam.

don't you offer any exam without the need to book a course?

Some people would like to get certified, but cannot afford the time or expenses for professional training.

Still, they would like to prove their skills.

MikroTik's recommendation is 3 days training but trainer can offer short training for experts.

Not possible. Your skill is evaluated during the class as well, for 3 days. Just exam is not a perfect way to know your knowledge.

These are their politics! But how you want to learn! Cisco also is the same all materials are on netacad! If you want to do the same with mikrotik you can get courses timeline https://mikrotik.com/training/about and search for topics on internet and learn, then you can ask trainers for discount to register you for test only!

Registering a student for exam only will also be against MikroTik training policy.

~2000km to the closest training in English, in a different country. 3600 km to one in my country, but it is a language I don't know...

Personally I don't see much value in any of IT certifications regardless the vendor ... most of them are very basic level and completing such course doesn't make trainee an expert. And there are many IT professionals without certificates that have much higher knowledge level. But then, if there's a new kid on the block who wants to get some basic knowledge but doesn't have any knowledgeable (informal) tutor at hand, then such trainings are beneficial ... but as you wrote, direct monetary value is probably well below associated cost.

But then there are employers who trip on certificates and if one wants to work for such an employer, getting some certificates is a must.

Maybe is time to check how looks materials and certifications which give you real knowledge ? As we know, MTCNA is very short / compressed training + cert without network fundamentals.
If someone want know good fundamentals networking then should be interested CompTIA Network+ good training materials or CCNA / JNCIA-Junos (they have very good basic but additionally are focused on their hardware) . The min. real time to learn one of this material is 3 / 6 month and you still don't have practical skills (only lab) . One the best online training portal - https://www.cbtnuggets.com/ offering actual Network+ (20 hours) / CCNA (50 hours) video materials plus access to lab environment / practice exams / Q&A / Quiz / community . And this is only Associate level . Standard in-place training don't give you this type of knowledge , because they don't have enough time to deep learn (though they can be very good ex. MCTRE). Of course a lot of people try to cheat, they learn only braindumps without real skills and they pass exams . But good employer can verify this type pseudo specialists very fast . Good IT specialist always find job without certificate but if he has enough free time and motivation then why do not try to get it It's good challenge for him and easier pierce to another job
