Problem with disk space

Thu Dec 26, 2013 4:21 pm

Hi there,

I'm using RouterOS 5.25 on a RB1000. I'm sure that external flash card has problem but I'm not using it.
I've noticed that in the file section packages are downloading automatically without any manual action.
I delete theese file but system disk is still full.
What can I do? I've attached a screenshot.

I'm having the same sort of problems. I've read a lot about disabling user manager and uninstalling unused packages like dude, but none of that applies to my routers, where I haven't used user manager, dude, or anything other than the core routeros components.

I do routinely use syslog and log quite a bit of data -- I'm wondering if that's causing my problems.

Any ideas?

No meter u have 1000xCF u can never use them as system "HD" memory
It is looking strange u should have at lest 16-20MB free
Well I suggest u to do netinstall but remove (no just disable - remove) all unused packages like wireless.npk dude.npk ups.npk keep only what u need
Also u can do that in System->packages, there u can uninstall some unused packages

RB1000 basically is old but it was very expensive it should have at least 128MB

Hi and thanks for all your answers. My RB1000 had and uptime of 250 days. As I was experiencing disk problem I bought a new RB.
I turned off the old RB1000 and it doesn't boot anymore!
So maybe my problem was that RB1000 was slowly dying!
