Mon Dec 30, 2013 10:09 am

Dear All,

I have 4-5 Core routers(Mikrotik) and created log with syslog on remote syslog server. Presently all the routers logs written in single file on remote server. How can i create different log file for different Mikrotik router on remote syslog server.

Thanks

It differs from syslog to syslog. I use Kiwi syslog, but it runs on windows server machine. I can help you with this one.

In case you still need some ideas about logging and syslog-ng specifically, you might get some ideas in my blog post about my own setup here: Replace MAC Addresses With Labels Using Syslog-NG.
