Hotspot + DSLAM + modem

Tue Feb 18, 2014 10:17 am

My setup wants to be like that:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RB1100AHx2 (hotspot) --- 4 x DSLAM 48ports --- RJ11 cables --- 192 x Modems --- users
10.0.0.1/8 --- 10.0.0.2/8 --- --- 10.0.0.3-195 --- 10.0.1.1-10.0.x.x
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RB1100AHx2 will be hotspot-server and dhcp-server.

What i want is, each user who connects to the modems, to be able to login to the main hotspot server (RB1100AHx2).
So, i think that i should have modems and DSLAM in bridged mode and all in one network, like 10.0.0.0/8.

Can this be done?
Anyone else has done the same setup or similar?

I'm personally not very adept with the DSLAM portion. We have other people in our company who are able to handle that portion of it. :D I have configured the router portion behind the DSLAM and I know that part of it is very easy. Serveral manufactuers were mentioned when I asked about it, but the bottom line is that you need to verify the functionality with your vendor before you purchase it. Hope that helps :D

Thanks a lot for your answer.
