AP load balancing

Fri Feb 21, 2014 1:53 pm

Hello, does someone know if its possible to do Accesspoint load balancing with Mikrotik Devices?

So, when there are 2 Mikrotiks in 1 building, the device must connect to the best Wireless signal AP.
Maybe its possible to setup a rule like: if noise floor = more then X then KICK the client. The client will connect again with the AP who is sending the best signal.

Someone have a solution for this question?

Good question! I'm using same SSID on the APs and "Max Station Count" parameter, but I'm having some CPEs not connecting to the best signal AP.
Is there a method to force CPEs to select the best one?

/interface wireless access-list
add signal-range=-70..120

and DEFAULT AUTHENTICATE @ the Interface wireless page OFF.
(not the AUTHENTICATE @ the Interface wireless access list page)
