Tagging untagged traffic !! vlan

Tue Feb 25, 2014 1:44 pm

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to tag untagged traffic on a mikrotik interface.
I'll elaborate a bit further:

I have a trunk which is connected to port ETHER1 of the mikrotik router.
In that trunk there are VLANS defined. For ex vlans50 and 51.
All untagged traffic coming in on that interface should be tagged with VLAN52.

Is there a way to do this?

Which device is it? Handling that in RouterOS can get ugly. A switch chip might allow a more elegant solution.

why do you have untagged traffic on a trunk?

I'll have a look at the switch chip in that model when I get home.. If not you'll have to use bridge to do it which will be a big performance hit.
