Netwatch issue

I set up netwatch on my RB750GL successfully.
But I notice it works only if dsl-modem turns off.
So whenever modem loses dsl-alignment or internet connection I cannot know anything.
Why does this happen?
Is there a way to "watch" even those parameters?

in case u r using for failover :
/ip route add dst-address=8.8.4.4 gateway=FISRT MODEM IP
/ip route add dst-address=4.2.2.2 gateway=SECOND MODEM IP
then you should watch 8.8.4.4 and 4.2.2.2 and ...

two modems? I'm not using failover
my rb750gl has to "watch" only one modem

The two modems have to be in the same ip network, correct?

i can not get clear about what you gonna do , but
im thinking your problem is you are watching your modem ip (for example 192.168.1.1) instead of something like 8.8.8.8.
