IPoE alternative for PPPoE

Sat Mar 22, 2014 11:59 am

IPoEthernet can be a viable alternative for PPPoE.
Now adsl modems also support it. And have sufficient routers also support it fully.

I'm not sure what you are asking for. For ISPs that don't encapsulate IP inside of PPP but just do it straight over ethernet, there is nothing that they are doing that RouterOS doesn't already support. There is no need to request an "IPoE" feature, since it already exists and has existed since day 1: put an IP address on an ethernet interface, or run a DHCP client on an ethernet interface. Problem solved.
