Cannot reach certain hosts on the network

Wed Apr 23, 2014 10:37 am

I am using Mikrotik V6.12 installed on a PC. 1 incoming connection for the WAN and 1 for the LAN which is woking as a hotspot. The LAN side then connects to the switch and thereafter to other computers and a wireless AP (Bullet HP with omni-directional antenna).
The problem is that sometimes I cannot ping from one LAN computer to another computer that connects to the wireless AP. After some time, it starts replying again and then disconnects. The IP for this computer is set as bypssed in the hotspot.
If I disconnect the mikrotik, everything works OK in the network.
The funny part is that the same setup has been working all along until now.

I also had a great deal of trouble using the hotspot with 6.12. So much so, that I had to downgrade it immediately.

Thanks for the input, however my problem still is there even after downgrading. Basically, if I switch off my Router, my LAN works fine. When the router is on my for some time, the computers stop pinging after a while but still able to connect to the internet well and ping the router well.
