HP Procurve, Mikrotik and Multiple Vlans

Wed Apr 30, 2014 3:59 pm

Good Day Everyone

We have the following setup

customer switch (customer own vlans) -> (Mikrotik) Customer End - HP-Procurve <= vlan tag 201 => HP Procurve - Customer End (Mikrotik) <- customer switch (customer own vlans)

We are transporting customer traffic from 1 location to another using a vlan tag in this case 201 (our HP procurve does not support QinQ)

What happened in this scenario is customer is unable to carry their own vlans across these 2 locations over this vlan tag 201

I have Mikrotik on both Ends, May I know what can i do to make this to work?

I have tried

/interface vlan
add interface=ether1 name=outervlan vlan-id=600
add interface=outervlan name=innervlan vlanid=1500

But it does not work as I suspect the HP Procurve does not forward the packets for innervlan.

Thank you!

You really need to provide more information.

The configuration parts for all the devices invovled would be best. That way we can check the whole chain.
