I have RB1100ahx2 with 6 WAN links.
eth1-eth2-eth3 = ISP.A
eth4-eth5-eth6 = ISP.B
eth7 = LAN
What I want is that browsing (internet sites) should be routed to ISP.A, and download like mp3 zip exe rar should be routed to ISP.B
Is there any possibility?
If not possible, then is it possible that (suppose) If i have 2 wan links, then i can route only .exe .mp3 .rar to second wan link?
Hello,
there are some different methods to realize it:
Load balancing would make it happen.
- Session based load balancing
- service based load balancing
- policy based load balancing
An in normal this set up like you want to realize is far away from the
the real life, you can also try it out by packet marking but I don´t know
if this is matching exactly what you are trying out.
I suggest you to try out the policy based routing method so all network
traffic will be balanced over all WAN lines, this could be the goal for you.
