2.8.15 wrong signal strength reporting in nstreme module ?

Sun Sep 12, 2004 3:21 pm

hello,

didn't try legacy wireless module.

Nstreme reports -80dB signal strength, -61dB tx-signal-strength, but is capable of transferring data corresponding to -61dB signal :) probably this is just cosmetic or so. Upgraded from 2.8.13, where signal strengths were shown as -62/-61, so almost similar levels.

BTW, the opposite side was NOT upgraded yet, there is 2.8.13 - could this be reason?

bye, mp3turbo.

yes, it was :) right now, we have:

signal-strength: -67
tx-signal-strength: -60
tx-ccq: 75
rx-ccq: 75

why is it so different, still ?

Another interesting question is what exactly is ccq :)

What are 'good' values and what 'not so good' - useful is also to know what are 'awful' etc. (this is the minimum, assuming technology is some sort of trade secret)
