Hello

We have a mikrotik routerboard RB951Ui-2HnD and I need to set up a 3G connection using an Alcatel Onetouch USB modem. The device doesn't connect through the USB even after a firmware update. Anyone know of maybe generic drivers or work around to get this up and running?

You've just gone and hijacked someone else thread... Anyway, you can't use your own drivers or install any generic ones either.
Search the forums to see if anyone else has the OneTouch up and running.

To the original poster: The 320U from Netgear/Sierra Wireless is stable. I've one them running for years without trouble.

I have a Huawei E3131 that has an external connector. It needs some faffing about to get it into modem mode and didn't dial PPP until 6.15 but now works well.

I've noticed that the E3131 in Hilink mode is seen as a LTE interface. This works well if you can live with the fact that the dongle NATs connections - the router doesn't get the external IP address but one allocated from 192.168.1.1 by the dongle.
