What´s wrong with this hotspot ?

Tue Sep 02, 2014 4:14 am

Guys,

I have this setup like the image.

1) Sometimes the clients of the ap´s don´t get the ip´s.

2) Sometimes I can´t connect the ap´s (10.1.1.x) from my main router (rb450G 192.168.10.1). In the Dhcp leases they don´t apear. Sometime they do.

I made fixed the IP in the dhcp server of the ap´s but after the ap´s reboot they don´t get the same ip, they get another one from the 10.1.1.x .

The main problem is the clients getting the wrong IP, they should get something like 10.1.1.20 but sometimes they get 169.x.x.x like if the dhcp server doesn´t exist in the main router or like the bridge is not working.

The RB951´s are all in bridge mode (setup by the quicksetup - wisp AP)

Is this the best setup ? is there another way to do this ? do I need to setup dhcp relay ?

We are a small hotel with no more than 20 simult. connections. Before the RB951 I had a couple of old linksys wrt.. they worked like a charm, after I replaced them I started to have some problems like these as I described.
