suspicious activity is seen in Torch after DOS attacks

Wed Sep 17, 2014 10:32 am

Hi,

I am recently experiencing DOS attacks on my router. Each attack usually lasts up to a few seconds, when the router reboots. It happens 3-4 times a day. I have changed lots of firewall rules according to excellent posts on this forum, and the frequency of attacks have reduced considerably. More recently, however, I'm receiving new attacks, and although we do not use ipv6 and I have disabled it from Packages section, I still see suspicious ipv6 activity as shown below. 192.20.20.0/24 are our local address, but the bottom line shows an ipv6 which I think is malicious. I would be much grateful if you could let me know how I might be able to completely block ipv6 as we do not use this at all.

You're seeing link-local traffic. Nothing to worry about.
