Unable to connect SIP server behind Mikrotik?

Mon Oct 13, 2014 7:03 pm

Hi Every1,

Has anyone been successful setting up SIP server to work behind Mikrotik Router OS?

Recently we installed NEC SV8100 IP-PBX at one of our customer where routing and firewall is done with Mikrotik. When user is in the same network as NEC everything work fine but when same user tries to connect from outside network (Home/Remote) never succeed to register.

Have been trying every possible technique found while googling but have succeeded yet.

If anyone can help!!!
IT is about speed, amount and availability

Have you got any SIP traces?
I'm a SIP / VoIP engineer. Feel free to ask questions...

Like What Marrold?
Like actually debugging the SIP connection to see if it is not getting the ACK, if the NEC PABX is actually receiving the initial request and sending the ACK, need to find out which part of the registration handshake fails to correctly identify what needs to be looked at.

Works on our system, using IPLA. If using IPLB, then only 1 IP is used, not 8, so adjust the RTP accordingly.

SV8100 IP 192.168.0.186
IPLA 1 IP 192.168.0.187
IPLA 2 IP 192.168.0.188
IPLA 3 IP 192.168.0.189
IPLA 4 IP 192.168.0.190
IPLA 5 IP 192.168.0.191
IPLA 6 IP 192.168.0.192
IPLA 7 IP 192.168.0.193
IPLA 8 IP 192.168.0.194
-------------
On the router connected to the handset network (external), forward port UDP/5060 to the IP address of the handset. Also forward port UDP/3462 to the IP address of the handset.

Hope this helps.
