CSR125-25G Not Loading Previous Sessions

Tue Nov 18, 2014 10:30 pm

My CSR125-24G doesn't reload with Previous Session settings.
For example if I take and put along the top of the screen: Uptime, Memory, CPU, Date, Time
and i then exit or X out, next time i log in they do not come back up.
This goes for any screens.

Loading previous session had never reliably worked with any version or device type as far as I remember.

This is the first MT device i have that doesn't work correctly.
I have:
9 RB100
2 RB1200
10 RB133
6 RB2011
tons of RB411 and 411ah
Tons of RB433 and 433 AH
13 RB450
20 RB493

They all work just fine

I would begin by assuming that the winbox settings which are saved for this device are corrupt. Corruption of saved layout is something which happens all the time.
  1. Log in without "Load Previous Session" checked.
    Log out.
Log in with "Load Previous Session" checked.
    Make changes.
    Log out.
Cross your fingers (if that is the good luck gesture of your culture.)
Log in and see what happens.

Yep. I have the same experience. Crossing the fingers is the main point. And since then you have to cross your fingers again everytime you logging in. I see blank screen or other windows that was not saved before if I forget to cross them.

I think the corruption tends to happen when a session was not closed cleanly. Like when I get ready to leave and close the lid on the laptop without logging out. It doesn't happen all the time, probably not even 2% of the time. But, quite often across all models of my 70 or so devices. The other alternative to the finger crossing dance is to not use the "Load Previous Session" option and that is just too annoying to me.
